Market participants believe that the reason for the surge in Zhengdan's share price this year may be that the price of the company's main product, trimellitic anhydride (TMA), has risen sharply due to the contraction of global supply. Data shows that the price of trimellitic anhydride (TMA) has continued to rise in the past two months, rapidly rising from 16000 yuan/ton at the beginning of the year to more than 40000 yuan/ton.

In the first quarter of this year, Zhengdan's performance increased significantly, achieving operating income of 518 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.80%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies reached 58.9925 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 412.94%.

The Guolian Securities Research Report shows that the upward trend of TMA prices is quite elastic and sustainable. The actual demand in 2024 will be approximately 211,000 tons, and the supply gap will reach 63,000 tons, accounting for approximately 30% of the actual total demand. Coupled with the just-needed nature of TMA and no new capacity will be put into operation in the short term, the TMA boom cycle is expected to last for a long time.
